# First-run wizard

On the first installation the app walks you through five steps. Turn the internet on before you reach registration — without it the machine is not written into the Hub. You set Wi-Fi or the SIM in Android settings. Check that a website can be opened in the tablet's browser.

## 1. Service password

Screen **Set the service password**.

Enter a six-digit numeric code and repeat it on the next screen. You later use this code to enter the service menu with administrator access (tap the logo five times). Do not share the code with anyone.

## 2. Machine type

Screen **Machine type**.

Machine types are grouped by manufacturer. Select the row that matches the machine in front of you (spiral, lift, micromarket). The wizard will not let you continue without a selection.

## 3. Serial ports

Screen **Serial ports**.

First choose the mode:

* **Automatic** goes through the ports and fills in what the board answers. Motors and payment do not start.
* **Manual** unlocks the port selection. Individual rows have **Test**.

Ports need to be set for the control board, payments (MDB), and, on machines with external cooling, the cooling board as well. The scan can be started again. **Continue** works even when the scan found nothing — you fill in the ports later in the service menu under **Device settings → Ports**, but without the correct configuration the machine's function may be limited.

Ports are written only with the continue button, not during the scan.

## 4. HUB registration

Screen **HUB registration**. This is where the [Operator ID](/en/guides/navody/getting-started-and-installation/sparovani.md) belongs.

## 5. Done

The screen **The machine is ready** summarizes what you chose. **Start the machine** opens the customer screen.
