# Plans

The plan decides which features of the web app are available. Available plans: **Starter**, **Pro**, and **Enterprise**.

## Machine subscription and the operator plan

A subscription is normally paid through Stripe for each machine separately. The subscription overview and a plan change, including the option to change plans in bulk, are at **Machines → Subscription overview**. You can also change one machine's plan in its detail. The overview and invoices are in **Settings → Billing**.

Two plan levels follow from that.

The **machine plan** is that machine's subscription. It controls features in its detail: analytics, pick list, banners, price packages, refills, and layout templates on this machine. Starter on one machine locks these tabs even when your other machines are on Pro.

The **operator plan** is calculated from the machine subscriptions. It controls features shared by the account: tabs on the Dashboard, price advantages, warehouse, discount codes, technicians and stockers, and the Operator API.

It is calculated like this:

* At least half of the machines are on Pro or Enterprise → the operator plan is at least **Pro**. Otherwise it stays **Starter**, even if you pay for several machines.
* Of these paid machines, at least half are on Enterprise → the operator plan is **Enterprise**.

Four machines with two of them on Pro means the operator plan is Pro. One Pro out of four stays Starter. Two Enterprise and two Starter means Enterprise: half of the fleet is paid, and both of the paid ones are Enterprise.

## What each plan unlocks
