# User behaviour

The **User behavior** tab on **Dashboard** is available from the **Enterprise** plan.

It shows how people use the machines: what they browse, how long a typical purchase takes, and at which step they leave a purchase. These are not the revenues from [Analytics](/en/hub-screens/hub/prehled/analytika.md).

The machine sends visits afterwards, not right after a purchase. The Hub downloads them at night from machines that are online. Today's data is therefore not on the tab yet. A machine that was offline has a gap in the chart. After it connects, the Hub fills in visits the machine still holds, at most for the last seven days.

The same view for one machine is on the machine detail [Analytics](/en/hub-screens/hub/seznam/analytika.md) tab, in **User behavior** mode.

## Filter

There are two filters at the top. Both apply to the cards and the charts at once.

* **Select Machine** shows **All Machines** by default. Choosing one machine narrows the data on the whole tab to that machine only. A machine on the **Starter** or **Pro** plan cannot be selected and is not included in the totals.
* **Period** limits the time window sessions are summed from. The choice affects how often the session-timing chart steps. The default is **Last 30 days**.

**Today** is distorted because of the delayed download. Today's data is not on the tab yet, even when the machines are selling. The correct figures arrive at the next nightly sync.

The comparison on the cards compares with an equally long period immediately before the filter.

## What the tab shows

Visits at the machine are counted. Courier pickup is outside conversion. When such sessions exist in the period, the tab states how many it left out.

Six cards above the charts:

* **Sessions** — number of visits.
* **Conversion** — share of visits that completed a purchase.
* **Cart abandon** — visits that ended in the cart and left the goods there.
* **Payment failures** — share of payment attempts that did not go through.
* **Vend failures** — share of vend attempts that did not succeed.
* **Session length** — average from the first touch to the end (in minutes). Under the number is the median.

**Purchase journey** shows how many sessions reached each stage of a purchase. The length of the bar is the number of sessions that reached the stage. Amber is **Ended here**, blue is **Continued**, green is **Completed**. Switches above the chart hide a color. Hovering a stage also shows the share of users who continued to the next step.

Five donut charts side by side:

* **Session errors** — **No error**, only **Payment failure**, only **Vend failure**, or **Payment and vend**.
* **Main source** — where the goods in the purchase came from: **Grid**, **Upsell**, or **Slot code**.
* **Upsell** — among sessions that reached the cart, how many were shown the offer and how many were not. Under the chart is how many of them added goods from the offer and bought them.
* **Discount codes** — only sessions that tried a code: **Applied** and **Rejected**.
* **Compensation** — after a failed vend: **Voucher**, **Refund request**, or **Auto-refunded**.

**Session timing** is a chart over time. The green area is **Session length**. The purple line **Typical gap** is the median time until the next visit. **Complete gap** leaves out pauses longer than two hours, typically the night. The chart step is controlled by the period filter.

**By hour of day** sums visits by the hour they started, across the whole period. Green is **Completed**, purple is **Did not complete**. Under the chart is **Peak Hour**.

**By weekday** is a grid by day and by four-hour blocks from midnight. A cell shows the number of sessions. Hovering shows how many of them completed a purchase and what the conversion was.

**Payment** compares the methods **Card**, **Coins**, and **Online**: how many sessions tried the method, how many completed, and how many failed. Under the chart are typical browsing and payment times. On the right is the **Payment failure reasons** pie. Sessions distinguish a time limit, a cancel on the reader, and a decline.

**Product interest** shows at most ten products users interacted with (we record opening the detail, adding to the cart, and a successful purchase). **Show full table** shows the full product catalog.
