# Banners

The **Banners** tab is available from the **Pro** plan. It applies to this machine only.

A banner is an image or a video on the customer screen. You create a new one with **Create banner**.

There are two types:

* **Working Mode** is shown in the header while the machine is waiting for customers. It uses a static image.
* **Idle Mode** takes the whole screen when nobody is using the machine. It can be an image or a video. Video takes priority over an image.

When there is more than one banner of the same type, they rotate by the **Duration (s)** field.

## Fields when creating

| Field           | Required | Meaning                                                                                             |
| --------------- | -------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Name            | yes      | Internal name. It is not shown on the machine screen.                                               |
| Type            | yes      | **Working Mode** or **Idle Mode**.                                                                  |
| Duration (s)    | no       | How long the banner is shown before it switches to the next one.                                    |
| Active          | no       | Only active banners are sent to the machine. The default is on.                                     |
| Image           | no       | JPEG, PNG, or WebP, at most 15 MB. The Hub resizes the image so the longer side is at most 1920 px. |
| Video           | no       | Only for idle mode. MP4 (H.264), at most 50 MB and up to 60 s.                                      |
| Play with sound | no       | Only for video. The default is off; the video on the machine plays silently.                        |

## Recommended sizes

| Idle Mode    | image  | portrait, 1080×1920 px (9:16) |
| Idle Mode    | video  | portrait, 720×1280 px (9:16)  |

## Sync banners

After you create, edit, or turn off a banner, tap **Sync banners**. Only then does the machine receive the change. The machine must be online. Only banners with **Active** checked are sent to the machine.

When the machine's plan drops below **Pro**, the machine deletes the banners. They stay in the Hub, and after the plan returns **Sync banners** sends them again.
