# Technicians & stockers

**Technicians & stockers** are people who get into the service menu on the machine with a numeric code. **This is not the password for the HUB.** The page is available from the **Pro** plan.

Signing in on the machine is described in [Service menu](/en/guides/navody/everyday-operation/servisni-menu.md). How access and roles work is described on [Sign-in and roles](/en/guides/navody/getting-started-and-installation/prihlaseni-a-role.md).

## Roles

| Role | What it is for |
| -------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Technician** | Full access to the service menu on the machine: stocking, slots, payments, device settings, cloud connection, Android options, and device information. |
| **Stocker** | Only stocking goods and updating the app. |

On the machine, a stocker has a limited **Product and stocking management** item; they see only **Refill** in it. They cannot view the product catalog, the stock check, the buffer, or delete products. They see error **Notice** items, and they cannot block a slot from them. In **Device settings** they only have the app update.

A role change, or revoking access in the Hub, takes effect on the machine only at the next code entry.

## Code

The Hub does not generate the code. You enter it when you create the person.

On the **Technicians** tab the button is **Create technician**. On the **Stockers** tab it is **Create stocker**. Access level is prefilled from the tab; it can be changed in the form.

| Field | Required | Meaning |
| ------------ | -------- | --------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Name | yes | The person's name. It is shown on the machine after sign-in. |
| PIN | yes | Code for the service menu. 4–6 digits. We recommend 6 digits. |
| Access level | yes | **Technician** or **Stocker**. |
| Active | no | The default is on. A person who is turned off cannot sign in with the code. |

PIN must not use the same digit only (1111), an ascending or descending sequence (1234, 9876), repeated pairs (1122), or alternating two digits (1212). It must be unique within the operator.

On the machine it is checked against the HUB — the machine has to be online. Three wrong codes block entry for 30 minutes.
